Cut the Carbon by Hat-Trick Design for Christian Aid

Christian Aid's primary campaign for 2007 looked at carbon emissions and its contribution to global warming. A march was held with the campaign message 'Cut the carbon'. Hat-Trick Design used the metaphor of cutting for the identity, creating banners, exhibitions panels and posters. The imagery of chimneys and vehicles with the dashed line cutting off the emitted smoke was applied as the graphics for the identity. Creative directors were Gareth Howat, David Kimpton and Jim Sutherland, and the designer was Ben Christie.
