Legible London by Applied Information Group for Transport for London

The Legible London brief was to develop a wayfinding system that aims to make London a world-class walking city. The idea was to give users accurate and relevant information, promoting walking while easing public transport congestion. Applied Information Group proposed Legible London three years ago and installed a prototype scheme in November 2007. Branding and recognition were conceived and delivered as a yellow background with a black walking man. This was developed across a wide range of applications on street signs, printed walking maps, bus stop panels and via the Internet.
