Manchester Comedy Festival by Mark Studio for The Comedy Store
Mark Studio found an interesting way to promote the Manchester Comedy Festival in 2008. The team steered clear of the obvious comedy clichés and came up with a concept that focused on glum faces from the North West. Mark Studio commissioned photographer Richard Moren to take portraits of people looking miserable. The posters were rolled out across Manchester, creating awareness, but also curiosity. The work also appeared across brochures, advertising, viral executions and the Web.
