Pentagram has designed the fourth issue of Beat, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, a fully illustrated edition of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem. Published by Heart, each of the agency's 36 illustrators contributed a double-page spread to accompany the text. Pentagram based its concept around Heart's idea of producing a contemporary rendition of a classic. The dust jacket has the appearance of an old book that has been defaced by cover artist Jimmy Turrell.
