The MacBook Air is the one of Apple's latest offerings to wow the Design Week Awards panel. Billed as the world's first portable ultra-thin notebook, it took the Consumer Product Design prize and is runner up for Best of Show. Encased in the 4mm aluminium book is a 4x performance graphic boost, built-in iSight camera, full-sized keyboard and trackpad with multitouch technology. The sleek look is down to the innovative details including all USB ports concealed under hatch flips and the LED-backlit display to provide instant brightness. It is ahead of its time. We all want one, which is a huge part of its appeal, and like the iPhone it could transform our lives.
