Scottish Opera by Hat-Trick Design
Winner

Scotland's national opera company Scottish Opera needed an identity that would challenge the perception of opera with a brief to 'open up opera' and make it more accessible to everyone. Hat-Trick Design's solution is based on taking the 'O' of 'opera' and opening it up to the form of 'S' of 'Scotland'. The angle created in the marque was then used in its typography and imagery.
