Rules for Entry

1) Who can enter?
- Individual designers, design groups or clients can submit as many entries as they like for each category, and can enter one or more categories. The Design Week Awards is open to countries worldwide.
- Ensure you check the launched or published period for each category to make certain your entry is eligible.
2) How to make your submissions:
- You must enter online. You can upload up to 5 digital images and small .mov /.dv files along with your explanatory brief.
- Payment can be made online by credit card, after you have done this you will receive a confirmation email containing a catalogue number(s) for your entry(ies) which you should reference on anything you post/courier to us. This email will act as a VAT receipt for your entries, it will also contain full address details for you to post or courier any supporting material.
- You can also opt to post a cheque or pay by BACS. If you wish to pay by either of these payment options then please click 'cheque' and follow payment instructions which will be sent to you on the confirmation email.
PLEASE ENSURE YOUR ENTRY NUMBER IS SUPPLIED ON EVERY ITEM OF SUPPORTING MATERIAL YOU SEND IN TO US.
3) What to include?
- Each submission should comprise of the visual material outlined for each category and should be accompanied by a resumé of the client brief and design solution, written on up to one side of A4 paper. Launch or completion dates should be included for each project. A full postal address for any interiors or exhibition submissions should be included. Wherever possible, the product should be submitted for the judges to see or a London location where it can be viewed should be given.
- If you are submitting images of your project / product as digital images, please ensure you supply the images in the correct format following the instructions listed under each category. The judges will not view entries not following the specified formats, unless agreed in advance with the organisers.
- All additional supporting data must be clearly labelled with your category number and must be either uploaded online or enclosed with your posted samples.
4) Payment
- Individual entries are £110 + VAT. Multiple entries can be paid for by one cheque, credit / debit card, or BACS payment, cheques should be made payable to Centaur Events.
5) Where to send your entry to?
- After entering online, you can post or courier your samples to: Natasha May, Event Co-ordinator, Design Week Awards 2010, c/o Centaur Events, St Giles House, 50 Poland Street, London, W1F 7AX
7) Previously Entered Projects
- Any project which has previously been judged in the Design Week Awards cannot be entered in to this year's awards.
8) Design Week Awards supplement
- All shortlisted projects, winners and commendations will be published in a full-colour publication distributed to Design Week readers at the awards dinner on 3rd March 2010, they will also be displayed on www.designweek.co.uk/awards
9) Returning entries
- Entries cannot be returned by post. However, when you enter online you can opt to collect your entries by ticking the collection box. These entries will then be held and available for collection from Centaur Events between 14th and 18th December 2009. It is essential that this is indicated at the time of submission, if not the entries will not be available for collection unless special arrangements are made with the event organiser.
