All submissions must include an explanatory Brief. You may also include, where applicable, digital supporting material and physical samples. Please see the category-specific requirements on the Categories page.

Explanatory Brief (maximum length one side of A4, preferred file formats: Word document or Pdf). This should include project/product launch or completion dates. For any interiors or exhibition submissions, a full postal address should also be included

Digital Supporting Material (up to five files) please ensure they are supplied in one of the following formats: Jpeg, Bmp, Eps or Tif at 300dpi with a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768. Any file which does not meet the specified criteria will not be passed to the judges

Video Footage may be uploaded online or posted on a CD/DVD/USB in QuickTime format (.mov) in either 720 x 576 or 768 x 576 PAL resolution. If you are sending CD/DVDs please ensure this is saved in a cross-platform format to allow the material to be viewed on all UK equipment. Please also ensure all files may be extracted from the CD/DVD for judging purposes
Please note the combined file size of the online part of each entry (Brief and digital files) must not exceed 5MB*.

Should you need to submit files larger than 5MB, these can be sent on a CD/DVD/USB. When sending any additional files or physical samples please ensure that you complete the online part of the process first. Once submitted you will receive an automated email from the website containing your entry number/s. You must label all files/samples with the corresponding entry number/s (If you do not include an entry number, we cannot guarantee the judges will see your work) and send by post/courier to:

Will I be able to collect my physical samples after the judging has taken place?
Yes, if you would like us to retain your physical samples for collection after the judging has taken place, please ensure that you tick the appropriate box on the registration page when making your entry/ies.
Entrants will be informed by email of the timeframe within which they can collect their physical samples. Please note that the period for collection will be restricted. Any physical entries not collected during this period will be disposed of. As much as we would love to keep everything, there simply isn’t enough space in our offices!

IMPORTANT
Design Week assumes that all entries are original and are the works and property of the entrant. As a condition of entry, the entrant grants Design Week permission to reproduce the works in print and in digital format and attests that they have the right to grant this permission. Design Week will not be held liable for any action or claim arising out of the reproduction of entered works in whatever format.
